Abstract

There has been much talk in recent years about the effervescence of translation studies and, at the same time, about the growing interest that translation research shows in problems and domains that exceed its restricted (and traditional) field, i.e., the critical analysis of the system of equivalences that materialize in the interconnection between source language and target language. Likewise, decades of numerous studies belonging to the latest translation era have come to the epistemological sphere, in which linguistic pragmatics, discourse analysis, cognitivism, and communication theories coincide in their methods and central axioms1, a pioneer of other disciplines that accompany a specific project for literary translation. As is logical, this discipline offers a valuable argumentative foundation to prove the conjunction of complex theories and translation practices.
