Abstract

The geocriticism encourages the dialogue of the displaced poet with the new space. Through extraterritorial experience, the migratory subject enquires about the meaning of the arriving country, through objects and places, like rubbish or suburbs. An example of this is Fabio Morabito’s work Lotes baldíos (1984 where the Italian-Mexican writer explores migration, supporting his poetic imaginary in abandoned spaces and waste.
