The pedagogical possibilities of Battles in the desert: literature as encouragement to critical thinking
Abstract
In teaching practice, particularly in the field that today cover the graduates of degree in Hispanic Letters, there are educational tools that can be used to create a contribution to the promotion of reading, writing, functional literacy, as well as critical thinking in high school students. This article presents a study of case, whose failures of the education system is due to faults and contradictions not served by the same, opening the possibility of promoting John’s reading, analysis and critical thinking through texts about foucaultian theory and literature, also considering the perspective of Paul de Man about learning methodology.
