María Teresa Andruetto: a challenge of ambiguous readings
Abstract
María Teresa Andruetto, the Argentinean writer and winner of the 2012 Andersen award, is an acknowledged author of children’s literature. Stemming from the theory of investigators Zohar Shavit, Maria Nikolajeva and Teresa Colomer, in this study I will analyse some of her texts (El país de Juan, Stefano – Juan’s Country, Stefano) from the comparative point of view, establishing similarities with the Slovenian writer France Bevk, as well as the ambiguity dimension of Andruetto´s texts by stressing those elements suitable for children’s and also adults reading.
